the nitty gritty of who we are

Thanks for stopping by to check us out. A little info on who we are. We are one of the first dog hiking companies to hit the Denver area of Colorado. We started this adventure in 2016 and haven’t looked back. We are a small business that was started by me, a girl with an idea that began in 2012-2013. I was going to graduate school full time to become a therapist. Grad school was a pretty stressful time. Going to school full time, working 60+ hours a week, along with some “life” hitting me pretty hard, I had an idea. The one thing that helped to relieve the stress was being outside with my dogs. Whether that was a walk or a hike, they were happy and so was I. It hit me. Why don’t I do something that I love as my career. As soon as I finished grad school I jumped in creating this company. This is where Take A Hike began.

What do we do? It’s all in the name. We hike your pup. You don’t have to worry about a thing. We pick your pup up, we drive them to the mountains, we hike them for two hours, and then we drop them back off at your home. Easy Peasy.

Your pup gets to spend time with other dogs and the owner of Take A Hike, yours truly. We take up to 4 dogs at a time. They get to know each other and spend the day playing in the mountains instead of longingly looking out your window where their biggest excitement of the day is barking at the mailman (or lady), or maybe the occasional squirrel taunting them while they enjoy their time chasing their buddies up trees. Your pup comes back tired, happy, and their need for adventure is satisfied.
